buzzing noise

hi, wonder if anyone can help. a few weeks ago i noticed an annoying buzzing noise on my 182 whilst sat in the car with the engine off, turned ac and fan off but noise still there. sounded like a motor buzzing, it is now a lot louder. It appears to be coming from the unit on top of engine where air filter hose goes into, think its the throttle body, any help would be appreciated.

The throttle body buzzes with just the ignition on yes.

Mine does this with ignition on but seems to stop when you start the engine.

what causes it? anyone know?

Just that the car will be sold this weekend as hes coming to pick it up, and im sure the buyer will enquire. would just like to give him an explanation.

its the motor that controls the throttle butterfly, its a powerful little bugger, hence the noise
