Bye Bye Clio :-(

  911 carrera 2, Yamaha R6
I'm sorry to say i'm leaving guys :dapprove:
Went out for a run with a few mates yesterday and one of them had a VXR220, i've fallen in love with them - So i'm selling the Clio and getting a VX220!
How much do you think i'd get for my 172?
2002
Black 172

But has done 89K now

Yeah £6k is what I was hoping for - have to get it in autotrader!

  No more clio's for me!
Mileage is always a bit of killer, i'm in the exact same position. :(

Should fetch 5.6 to 6k privately, good luck with the sell.

the difference in performace of a n/a vx220 compared with a VXR will be massive. I wanted a vx220 till i had a tussel with one and i had to ease off once i was in 3rd gear .... but i do think its a totally different driving experience(a much better one) even if they are only as quick as a 172/182 ctr etc. if you can afford it get the turbo

and another........:)

One of the VXs strengths is its traction, this obviously flatters the 0-60 time. Mid range wise, theyre pretty even with the clio, but obviously superior handling has its benefits.

They are quite a technical car to drive fast, ive had mine 4weeks, and am far from adjusted to the rear wheel drive.

Its a good step forward in terms on driving abililty,

Ask the guys on the clio meet last nite who was easing off in 3rd (and 4th gear) ;)

It wasn't the VX ;)

The Vauxhall is mad, a friend of mine has the turbo and it is damn scary. 0-60 in 4.8 and onto 151mph, basically an Elise but a little quicker. It's a proper racer really and not a day to day motor. Be prepared for new fillings as they feel every granule on the road.

Nice.... i'm happy for you, i would like a VX or Elise one day too....

One thing I have noticed though... is there something of a sheep mentality on this forum? I noticed a couple of months ago, someone got a Type R, next thing I know, everyone seems to be getting them. Then last month it was Meggys, and now its VX's...!

Not taking anything away from the VX mind, great cars, but its just interesting how when one person gets a car on this forum, everyone else seems to feel the need to copy!

Just as long as peeps realise I've had mine for a yr now ;)

Maybe, people are starting to realise that there are other cars out there?

Also, the VXs are becoming more affordable, so hence reachable by your average buyer.

Granted, and like I say, they are very nice cars (personally though I aspire to the Elise 190 Sport), its just an observation i've made ;)

interesting swap over matey

02 on 89k isnt the total end of the world, presumable motorway mileage. Put it up for sale in this club at £5700 and watch it go...
