I sourced a set of front calipers, cleaned them up till sparkling, then sprayed them. Just done the rear pad carriers today. Strip down, major clean up, sprayed and refitted. Look ace!
I just had prblems with my brakes so i just had to buy a second hand pair off of ebay, cleaned them up with a wire brush, sand paper and degreaser. Painted them black using high temperature paint.
I cant see the point of painting them any other colour than black as they will end up this colour from the brake dust.
Going to do mine this weekend, with either the stuff from halfords or hammerite smooth (red) just wondering if anyone has used any kind of Lacquer after painting to preserve the finish? if so what kind of Lacquer did you use?
I used a wire brush, paint thinner to clean them up and 2 coats of hammerite. they looked good until 2 weeks ago when did a bed in session and covered them in brake dust lol
