Call me thick but...Air intake

on a 182 where is the air intake on the front? it it above the registration plate isnt it, as the salesman at Renault said the reason i woudlnt get a splitter is because it rips off, breaks the bumper and blocks up the air intake, i am amazed how the splitter would reach above the reg plate...
surely im not being thick?!
im just tweeking my letter of complaint!

Salesman knows sweet fa tbh. If there was a big problem with splitters they wouldn't have fitted them to the 172 cup etc.

I've heard of them getting ripped off yeah, but not breaking the bumper & causing other damage like he says !

No, there are two air intakes, one behind the passenger headlight, and one just infront of the passenger front wheel.

If you ripped a splitter off, surely it would just scrape the road?

Most salesman know about as much as my cat. There are some out there that know stuff though. Most on this forum.

Ring renault uk and inform them, the salesman is lying to you in order to avoid doing his job. Im sure if renault knew he was saying that they'd be non impressed. Dont bother with the letter, as the longer this goes on the less standing you have to get the car sorted...

well where he was showin me the air intake is ..was the bottom corner of the bumper that joins the wing...
basically he said that the garaae dont fit them unless the customer asked, because they just cause problems, oh yeh he also said there £200 from Renault, i think he should check with the part dept before he says that, then says "i can order you one if u really want one" "no cause it should be on there anyway"
but all thru my letter of complaint is his name with quotes
If they were THAT bad they wouldnt invent them, he says its a waste of money for a bit of rubber anyway, but he didnt know what i was on about when i even mensioned "cup packs" so that explains... typical old dirty perv imo!

Theyre about £130 from renault. And they dont affect the air intake one bit, lol at that as a reason for not fitting them. The whole front bumper could fall off and the car would still suck in air.

I had the same kind of issues when i bought a car from a dealer, claimed things werent covered under warranty, werent their problem etc. Phoned customer services to report the garage and magically they were...

6 screws and you could fit it in half hour! (renault fit them crap tbh!

basically the Renault UK has spoke to the same salesman that im having the trouble with, what is the point in that! he's obviosuly not goin to change his story is he..
do you think its worth sendin in a letter of complaint about how theve messed me about with bookin my car in then not loking it in and havin to re book it in etc etc
