Cam/Aux Belt Change Clio 172

Hi this is my first post so a newbie here just brought a clio sport 172 02 plate, unfortuantly no paperwork came with it to give any indication of when cam and aux belts were last changed so thinking about getting it done as a precaution, just been over to my local Renault dealer and they want £713 for it, been looking online and can get the kits allot cheaper there, however have searched a few threads here and sounds like its a job only a Renault garage with the right tools can do, I know of a fairly competent mechanic, before asking him just wondering if it's really that specialist a job or whether a none Renault mechanic would be alright to use or whether I should just bite the bullet and take it to my local dealer.

K-TEC are always a safe bet, way down south though, not sure where you're located.

Thanks had a look on the traders page which gave me the idea to google Renault specialist in my area, not sure why I didn't think of that before, just woke up lol. Cheers
