Cam belt gone on a 2003 1.2

Car  Flamer ph2 172
My misses has a 53 plate 1.2 clio and on the way home today the cam belt went (AA said so) it has 60,000 miles on the clock and is in good nick, the question is what to do now is it worth getting it fixed?? And if so how much would it cost roughly??

Many thanks in advance

simon.

Cheaper picking up a new engine for it if you want to. Can't see the ca being for a lot as a whole so could also be worth getting another.

How much do you recon a new engine fitted would be? If its going to cost to much might as well sell it for parts? She loves that car though

I'm sure fred or danny said a 1.2 repair is pretty cheap and easy.

I did one and a new (recon) head, belt kit/waterpump/antifreeze cost me about £200 and I had to pay a mate £100 to do it as i'm handicapped. I can't remember what it cost exactly but it was around £300.

Well that's pretty good news then really can live with about £300 just got to source an engine after christmas then, as always thanks for your help guys
