Cam belt needs doing, what's the best way to go?

Hi,

so basically my car is needing the cam belt done, and I'm wondering what's my best bet, also including the most cost effective? Should I take it to my local garage and see what they quote? Buy a kit and ask them to fit it, or take it to someone else like quickfit? Just unsure if it's best to purchase the kit etc so I know what's going into my car, may be a stupid question but oh well any advice won't hurt.

Not sure what you've got available in Northern Ireland.

But id look for a specialist or failing that a renault dealer.
