cam cover

I have just painted the cam cover on my westfield engine and I wondered is it okay to put clear laquer on parts that get very hot!

Yes its metal and yes it bolts direct to cylinder head so it gets hot!
Shall I just leave it with the heat paint as the final finish then?

If its done right its fine, just remember to bare the metal where the bolts bolt the cam cover to the head don't want paint under the heads when the paint gets hot and cracks and then loosens the bolt.
