Cambelt, aux belt full 36k service

Whats the damage going to be roughly, for Cambelt and auxiliary belt replacement and 36k service? about 5-600 quid?

I have a 1.2 and was quoted out of interest including the water pump £400 includin labour,

Luckily my uncle owns a garage so he bought the parts at trade and charged me £120-RESULT

I had 60k done with Cambelt and Auxillary for £645 all in.

the normal 36k service is just the aux belt and tensioner normally mate (and usual oil etc) you dont need to do you cambelt for another few year yet have a look on gdi website i think they have their service prices on the website i imagine the specialist will all be around the same price.

every 5 years or 72k what ever is first i think so depends on age of the car

yeah very true just realised its a 172 so could well be a low mileage example with only on 36k but is due a cambelt due to its age.

I would agree with 5 yrs, but from experience I favour changing them at 50k as we have had a few failures come in, oddly enough not belt failure but pully failure...

out of interest whats the price difference between a 36k service with the cambelt done and without?

mine will need the service in 2-4 months i think, but am undecided about the cambelt as my car is a early/mid 04 so still have over a year on the cambelt in theory when it gets its 36k service.

I just had my cambelt aux belt done and a oil and filter change at rentech on a 52 plate cup at 42K cost just over £400 quality service aswell
