Cambelt change on a 182

Hey,

My 182 is just about to clock up 60,000 and I've had it for 4 yrs now. Does this need changing? Whats the recommendation for a new one? Plus - does anyone know where I can get this done cheap in or around the Aylesbury area??

Feedback would be MUCH appreciated!!

Ahhhh - best get it booked in. I did call Perrys and they wanted £1280.00 for a service and cambelt change plus they would need the car for 2 days.

Anyway, after picking myself up off the floor the girl at the service desk said "Would you like me to book that in?".......Well unless I sell a kidney - deffinately not!!!

Tell me about it, I didn't have much faith in the girl and questioned the price but she was sure that was correct.

Anybody ever used 'Bucks Renault'??

Bucks, just seen your question and been reading your thread. Take it sideways Dan at 519 Automotive! I was looking to get mine done in November last year and got all sorts of prices but Dan was the best! He is a Renault specialist and sorted mine out a treat! Give him a buzz or privite msg him and get a quote. It is due as I was always told 60,000 or 5 years old whichever is first. I wouldn't say it's way over due but I could be wrong.

No do not go to bucks Renault if they are the ones in rabans lane, when I went I asked about locking tools etc and they said

" ha ha ha u only need them if you don't know what your doing"

AVOID!!

As I said earlier, ring dan, pay for his experience, know it's been done right, and know you can enjoy your car.
