Cambelt rumble on 172

I have recently bought a 172 (52000 mls). I have noticed a rumble which seems to come from the area of the cambelt

The noise disappears as soon as the revs rise immediately from tickover. From reading the Renault technical bulletin on http://www.clio172.co.uk/www.clio172.co.uk it states that the belts fitted were very noisy.

Has anybody else had this problem and does it create a risk to the engine.

personally i wouldnt drive the car till youve had it checked out - in all honesty i would fit a new timing belt + pulley kit straight away coz if the belt goes on them it will be very ££££££££££
