Cambelt

  FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUU
Buyin a 1996 Rt, owner im buyin it off has had it from 68k till current 88K and hasnt had a new cambelt fitted. I don't know whether to assume it was changed before 68K or get a new one to make sure considerin the price of a new engine.

Or is there any way telling?

cheers:star:

i assumed that it had been changed on my punto and ended up spending 3 hours on the hard shoulder of the m1! Change it!

Exactly what i was thinkin, £200 for a new cambelt, or take a risk and possible £600? for new engine, i wud rather take the £200

You're as well getting it changed tbh. Engines aren't expensive for them, about £50, but it's still better to get the belt done.
