Cambelt

My Clio had the cambelt changed at 16000 miles 4 years ago.How many miles /time do you reckon I have left before I should get it changed?And can anyone recommend someone in Essex to do it(NOT MAIN DEALER)

it's 72k or 5 years, whicherver is sooner, why was it done 4 years ago?

Apparentely it was because of it being driven through a lot of water.It was before I had it.The previous owner told me about it and its in the service history.It was done by the main dealer so they probably bullshitted him in to having it changed.

As its been on for 4 years i'd be edging on the side of caution and getting it replaced like now.

i felt the same with my old 172.

Get it changed imo, you'll feel better when mullering it too.
