i have just got a cambelt kit from unipart & genuine aux belt kit i was told that gates make the unipart belts but it does'nt say gates on it but they have told me 100% that its made by gates is this right?

only 3 or 4 companies make belts anyway, the just get re-boxed. Be more concerned by the idlers and tensioner, but in my experience they're all the same also

im booked in at birchdown in a couple of weeks to get it all done spoke to them today and they said should be all ok

i've fitted Gates, Quinton Hazell, FAI, INA, and all use the same idlers/tensioner apart from one idler in the gates kit IIRC, which is made by the same bearing company that make one of the other tensioners....
