  2001 X Reg 172 PH1
Hi , a quick question , i have a PH1 172 , 65000 miles , cambelt changed in Apr/May 08 by Renault as it was most conveinient at the time , cost approx £800.

I am now 5 years nearly down the line , am i due another cambelt change ?.

Not had many issues with the car but due to age im reluctant to spend so much again on cambelt although i know specialist can do it for few hundred quid less .

What do you reckon, as ive only done 20k miles since last one am i ok for a bit or do i need to make a descicion re keeping the car or spending what it costs?

Also what are the Birmingham area specialists for clio sports now ?

Cheers

I would get the belts done and keep it. 65k its barely run in plus needing its belts doing is a bad selling time.

5 years is time for a change, and they DO quite commonly fail, its not just fuss about nothing.

That said, depends what you paid for and how attached you are if its a 600 quid car in the first place, just drive it.
