Camcorders??

Car  172 cup
My mum and step dad have asked for one for xmas.

I literally have no idea where to start looking, I dont know what is good and what isnt.

They will prob only use it for filming my baby sister growing up.

I have a budget of about £150 so the best I can get for that would be ideal. Anyone have any ideas?

just looking which is best for p**n for you, as Steve said.

the old "it's for my parents for xmas" doesn't wash here Laura.

Ouh I like the first one!
Its going to have to come from somewhere like Argos or Comet though as wont have time to order offline.

Thanks for the ideas though.

Bit more than budget but takes funking awesome videos and cracking pictures. Only camera I think realistically bridges the void between handhelds that take videos and camcorders that take pictures. SRS recommendation, although it may be a bit much. In terms of taking it out and about and shooting random clips:

That's a good one. Not so hot all-round but the price reflects this. Possibly the cheapest 'branded' way into HD camcorders that are any good, IMO.

I do like the second one, the first is a little out of my price range unfortunately
