Thought i would start a thread, mainly to keep track of what I've done/plan to do.
I haven't really posted anything on here, any way am up in Aberdeen.
This is my first clio, i've been a VAG man for the past 10+ years, but thought I'd try something that could actually go round a corner.
The Project has been moving very very slowly since buying
I purchased the 182 cheap in February 2013, with a smallish list of problems:
Standard Exhaust had hole the size of my fist so that was scraped.
Steering was all over the place(fooked ball joint and tie rods)
Poverty spec budget tyres all round (see below)
Alloys= naff in my opinion team dynamics
Brakes fooked all round
Body work a bit rough for my liking.
Apex springs are a bit s**te also to be honest

Team D's didnt last long(still have in shed might come in useful at some point)
Got some cup alloys off ebay and had them refurbed
I don't really use the car that much, i sorted the exhaust with a cheap pattern part i bought off some guy on gumtree(awful fit/quality) sorted the ball joint and brakes gave it a service and got it through the MOT and it pretty much sat as is, getting used now and again.
Last month i decided am going to actually do something with it as i began to feel guilty neglecting her, so proceeded to strip out most of the interior and fit some buckets and harnesses i got from a mate, so out with the interior.
should of spent the money sorting the suspension etc, but i got offered the seats and thought why not!
also harnesses not shown in pic fitted
decided to change out the exhaust for a scorpion one(second hand off of here).
fitted it today and am very happy with fit, sound etc.(sorry no pics)
I am trying to everything to a budget( probably won't happen)
Job list:
Got it booked in to get all the belts done next week.
Then get the suspension sorted, don't no if i should refresh the shocks with new standard units and sportsline springs or go coilover? Opinions??
New tyres all round, probably Michelin pilots? again opinions
Change the steering wheel out for a 300mm job.
i am not going to go near the bodywork until its mechanically 100%
If there's anyone up local to me who wouldn't mind giving me a bit of guidance as am a Renault virgin that would be great.
