soneji......shut up.......!!

""as said b4 mate.......valver shafts are more robust.......""

sorry.....am i embarressing myself??

Shut up what? They are shorter are they not? I know that they are def shorter than normal R19 and even shorter compaired to R19 16v

u were telling me to shut up yesterday cos i was "embarressing myself"?!! WTF??

R19 16v has the same track as a williams, thats why they will be shorter.

ive measured the f**kin wishbones (u know, the sticky outy bits that the wheels are attached to........ the bits that determine the track) on a valver and an RT..........THEY ARE THE SAME. thats why i left the RT ones on when i put the valver lump in mine, even tho i had the 16v ones ready to put on.

and guess wot??.......the valver driveshafts fitted as did the valver PAS rack.........

RT (Clio) shafts are shorter than non-valver RT R19 shafts. I know because I have a set of each lying on my livingroom floor.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^sold! calm down ladies, thats all the evidence i needed, cheers stan, one last question, does the RT rack mount at teh same point as valver rack?

  2005 Nissan Navara

yes....straight swap (u need 16v uj aswell as it is different length IIRC, but thats no prob)

oh no!....chris.....wot, THE chris ("your friend and also ur lover" *dutch accent*!!!)

BOTHERED

i use my garage to do all my work, not my house.

"Im hardly going to do it in the f**king shower am I?"

depends wot flicks ur switch? i mean, the thought of a metre long shaft in ur hands may well make u feel compelled to jump in the shower.........!!

Not quite, R19 16v track is ever so slightly wider (by about half an inch or so) and is down to subframe differences. This is why you cannot use both R19 16v shafts in a williams.

the wishbones on the 16v and the RT are NOT the same, they are very very similar but they are NOT the same, i know this because i got supplied some 16v ones at work instead of RT ones and they were wrong, the bushes on them are slightly different sizes..........i even rang the manufacturer and got some bloke in the warehouse to go get me one of each and measure them exactly for me..

the RT drive shafts are NOT the same size as the 16v ones.........if they were then i could have used my old drive shafts on my GTT conversion, i didnt, i bought new 16v ones......

oh and Mehdi ive got a manual RT rack that you can have mate........its an old one but if it helps you with your measurements or anythin it might be worth havin a look at........

they possibly are the same length, but there not identical items, at least 1 of the bushes is a diff size......

If you want to build your arms up for driving a car without PAS, try driving a race car with downforce! That will show you what its like but unlike the racing car which will get heavier at higher speeds, the normal cars get lighter... still, cant see why youd want to do it, as for normal driving it will b terrible. My SPAX suspension kit has added alot of weight to the steering especially at slow speeds (But if it gets too slow then the PAS kicks in nicely!)
