Can anyone do cambelts on 1.2 16v's?

The title says it all to be honest. Are there any specific locking tools etc, like there are with the RS's? Only reason I ask is, I had a cambelt changed at a local garage and it ran like crap, then had it re-timed by a Renault Specialist and it now drives like a dream. Cheers!
