Me too.
Well, Dalston.
you know where i am for fitting stuff
oo really!! iv been working for past few weeks there! what is it you do!?
performance tuning/race engine building
based in swansea like, but up home couple of times a month.
There are plenty of ppl closer to casile that can do you a RStuner map if thats what you want.
All bang for buck arguments aside this above is a risky angle too take and too give as advice. At the end of the day you are allowing someone to carry out work on your car without any sort of guarantee or protection for the service carried out if they are non traders/part of an above board company.
It is possible, as I am sure you know to damage an ECU requiring a costly re-flash to be used again. If you take this to someone who has none of the above you risk being left significantly out of pocket. Just something to keep in mind.
Fair point in doing a proper map, but using the RSTuner FLOL, its piss easy aslong as you can read and follow instructions. If it wasnt so simple and easy henk wouldnt have sold so many, he did really well developing such a easy piece of equipment.
the only people ive seen have problems are muppets, who rush in to trying to install it and then can not figure out which map they need/want.
Its not as if you messing with the data in the cal files like RStuning are doing ect.
Yup, not denying its a user friendly system - however search "RStuner problem" or such like on here, you'll be suprised how many of these "muppets" there are.
But at the end of the day you pays your monies, you makes you choice.
