Can someone explain the models/numbers please

Sorry if this is a fequently asked question (didnt know what to type in the search box).

I see many people on the site refer to their cars as a 182,162 etc, some refer to them as a MK2 etc and some just use the car's model.

How can I (or others) tell what no/MK mine is?

Both guides above a picture based. I'm having trouble distinguishing between them. I have a Clio Campus sport 1.2L 16V 2007.

Edit : Wiki tells me that as it is after 2006 it is a MK3... Looking at the bottom pics at lan_s's link - it has to be either a Mark 3 197 or Mark 3 197 cup - as it has three doors, not 5.

Probably easiest way to tell is the rear number plate is in the bumper rather than on the boot lid/hatch
