Can someone help me please?

I had my altenator belt changed and ever since its been making a horrible squeeling noise when changing from up and down gears every couple of mins and is louder if I have headlights or some air con on..

Is it the belt as it wasn't doing this before or is the altenator knackered?

I'm reasonable new to this stuff but could it be on wrong?! Is the Alternator belt not also known as the Aux belt and is this the one the non specialists get wrong and put on silly?!

Edit: just seen the op has a 1.2...not sure if the belt is the same on these!

Will most likely be incorrect belt tension on a manual tensioner. Rookie mistake
