can someone tell me wherre the boot sensor is?

I'm guessing you mean the switch for the light? I don't know but have a feeling it might be in the lock/latch mechanism

+1 it's part of the latch in the tail gate

Thanks guys so i need a tail gate latch, im guessing you mean the one on the actual boot lid ?

If you open the tailgate and press the little plate in with a screwdriver, you can see if the boot light comes on/off.
