Can you get Alloys ...

  BMW M4; S1000 RR
That have rotor style spokes thus drawing air in and onto the brakes ?

Was thinking about it today, and can't see any reason why it wouldn't work.

Would this not put extra stress on the wheel bots/ nuts?

Seriously doubt it.

Air being 'forced' in and out of wheels would affect steering/ handling though surely?

Can't see it making a difference personally, in reality (depending on the angle of the spokes/blades etc it would only start to be effective at high speed, making a similar effect to those air ducts replacing the fog lights.

Maybe you could even go further, have the air ducts bringing air in at the front, and then the alloys designed to allow the air back out, encouraging the air past the brakes...

The main thing would be whether it'd work though, Pep did you notice longer brake life before you started getting brake fade with those ducts?

A ridiculous amount better. On a hot trackday you're talking twice as many laps as other cars without ducting (compared back to back)

Have always wondered whether in the wet they just funnel water directly at the brakes though.

I think that the slr 'turbine' wheels look great on them:) They look crap without them that's for sure. They are a 7k option too !!

Yowsa.. They do look good, I assumed they were the standard wheels as every SLR seems to have them.
Nah, the standard ones are 18" five spokes, the turbines are 19" I guess if someone can afford an slr they can afford the 7k option ofr those wheels, b*stards lol.

  Clio 1.4 Ph2 Extreme
saw a lancia turbo with bolted on carbon fibre discs presumably to cool the brakes..
