can you repair car tyres?



probably a silly question but ive had a nail or something go through my tyre on the tread bit. can it be repaired? its a brand new bridgestone only done like 1k :dapprove::dapprove:

If its not on the edge of the tyre then yes it will only cost you about a tenner to get fixed.

If the damage is near the edge of the tyre ( i think its 1cm or 1 inch in) then they won't repair it.

No mate all tyre places do it.. All they do is drill through the damage and put a rubber bung thing in.

Don't pay more than £20 MAX though as the average price around here is about £12-15 pounds.

Ive called my tyre guy and he says he can look at it/do it just need a lift down now :D
 
the tyre place had a look at it and said it was fine to repair so its been repaired. if it wasnt in a a state to repair then they wouldnt have. saved me forking out another £45 to replace a month old tyre

What I'm saying is, they shouldn't have said "it's fine to repair"

But they've done it, so fair enough
 
mines like that, done two track days since, you'll be fine.

cue: omggzXZ!!!!1! what if you killed a cat on a road one day...
