Cancelled, refunds on there way. Just not enough of us I'm afraid and we can't book onto the open day until after the 24th of March, even then we would be unlikely to get 12 spaces on it.
We'll look at booking xtreme around the same time instead but will start a new thread about that in a while.
Time to get things rolling for the next karting meet.
Its going to be at Raceland Tranent (EH33 1EJ) and we're hoping it will be April the 28th. The reason I say hoping is that we can't book the date until we pay. What I've negotiated with them is that we pick a date they have free and then they will hold that for 2 days and then we pay the money and the place is confirmed as ours. We know its not ideal but as everyone wants to do outdoor karting its just how its going to have to be.
They way we are going to work it is I'm going to call them next Friday, confirm that they still have April the 28th free and book it Then everyone who wants to go will bank transfer us money on Friday, Sat and Sun and we'll pay on the Monday morning. If the date has been taken then I will update here and contact everyone who has said they are going with a different date. If we don't get the numbers required the money will be transferred back to you on Monday. No paypal this time as the account is likely to be suspended if it gets that much money in so many different transactions in a short space of time.
On the subject of numbers, its £45 a head, payable in full at the time of booking. If for some reason you have to pull out we cannot give you a refund until someone has taken your space and then your money will returned to you immediately. Raceland have a minimum numbers policy and it wouldn't be fair to pass on any additional charge to other members if you can't make it.
We need to have between 16 to 20 or 32 to 40 for this to run.
