Today I discovered that the gear stick can no longer find reverse.
I've recently fitted uprated engine and gearbox mounts and it's got harder and harder to select 1st,
it just wont go in at all, it usually finds 3rd instead of 1st.
So the other day I discovered that if I lift the reverse nob I can get it in 1st with ease,
but when I started to try and select reverse it would sometimes jump to the right and engage 1st.
Today it would not select reverse at all, no matter how far over I push the stick,
it flicks to the right and locks into 1st every time.
Today me and DCIRaz loosened the engine mount and pushed the engine as far back as it would go,
when we fitted the new mounts we pulled the engine forwards, so we thought that maybe we made the linkage too tight by moving it,
but pushing the engine back didn't help with finding reverse.
I know it's more than likely selector arm/linkage related, but i've no clue how it should be adjusted,
it won't be me doing the adjusting but I thought i'd ask so when Raz's mate gets it up on his lift,
he's got the exact instructions on the best way to go about it.
I'm sure he'll know how to do it, but I just thought i'd get the collective knowledge of CS
for when i'm there.
Cheers.
