Can't open bonnet!

I just waited 4 weeks for a new Group N ECU.

I finally get it, go to install it, and wouldn't you know it.

The bonnet doesn't open. Mk2 172. It looks like the wire has come lose and isn't moving the latch.

Tried everything to get it open. Nothing worked.

Have you guys experienced this? Or know how to get it open?

I guess I have to break the grill to open the latch?

maybe its snapped near the passerger foot well, try taking the plastic off and have a look, wouldnt break the grill vv expensive from anywhere

Yup unless u can get it to pull the latch....

Its going to be a "destroy the grill" time costly....

You cud....

up on ramps and remove the under tray... but i dotn think you guys have any room in those 172/182 jobbies

the joys of having a 1.2 lol u can almost climb into the engine bay as a second home

nah no way to get to it from underneath.

I checked near the latch, it's all intact.

Apparently you can pull on the cable just between the bonnet and the grill.
