As a customer i would 'expect' a power run...Just like when you buy a house you'd expect a survey to be carried out!

All part of a turnkey service imo!

TBH what do you expect from 1.5k?
Cams are best part of £600
Ecu tune ? 3-400
inlet match 150?
Labour 6hrs?
+vat
(These are all guesses cos mine cost in excess of 6k and i only have 233bhp)

my RR bill was £490 alone

and don't you pay extra for your house survey?

I would just like to say for the record that I have no issues with GDI, only with certain members whose penises are firmly inserted into Andys bottom, and no, I am not talking about theJesus

Very well said.

I have no issues either, but there is 3 or 4 people on this site that continually go on about the same thing over and over and over again. Doesn't happen with the other tuning companies.

May sound strange but I think it taints there reputation.

Hmm very interesting read.

I have no experience of GDi although I was contemplating this package.

I have had a few friends have issues with tuners (mainly Vauxhall) such as Regal and Courtney where they charge extrotionate money for a generic remap and a few bolt on items and then they dont even bother to RR road the car.

I personally find this a bit off putting as I would expect it from the service.

I think the package looks like good value for money but surely a quick run on the rollers to illustrate the gains and how effective the mods are will be only beneficial maintining customer service.

not having a dig at gdi but for the priced payed ( £1500 ) i myself would expect a rr graph, it would take all of 10-15 mins to get a stedy power run and would cost the tuner hardly fuckall. also would have the benifit of making sure the fueling is spot on. as a customer this would make me that little bit happier, this is just my opinion tho :)

If the tuner has their own rolling road and his time is free of charge then all well and good, but I reckon having these spurious rolling road tests before and after would push the package cost above £2000.

No point in having a test that you can just alter the fiqures of yourself to suit your ego down the pub.

I think my issue would be that the RR run was on the website when the guy presumably had the work done, but since this thread was started it has dissapeared.

GDI are obviously well within there rights to remove it from the package, however this guy should've got it if he wanted it?

tbh, rather than saying it had this much before and this much after, a figure just stating the difference wuld be nice, well i'd certainly appreciate it if I was having such work done. :)

If the figure had some real worth then I would agree with you Jon. Perhaps the customer should be taking this up directly with the tuner?

without trying to go off subject too far....

i would assume i am one of these 'people' mentioned above.

Whilst i am using GDI, i have no reason to praise or **** thier work on anybodies car but my own. Which thus far i am more than happy with (pics in my project thread).

The reason i feel compelled to post is to try and combat the one or two (or three or four as more jump on the band wagon) people that seem to either post absolutly pointless things (ie: 'braaap' i mean, what?? are you 12 or something??) or have nothing to say (good or bad) but feel they must.

As far as i can tell, GDI are the only company that has regular customers that come on here and comment how pleased they are. They are constantly churning out customer cars with positive results. I dont here constant glowing reports week in week out about any other tuner (well maybe RSTuning, but i dont read much on them).

And whilst i am airing.... why is it that when GDI has a RR readout from MASS its done by Andy on excel, yet whilst the world dominating AWT do, its perfectly legit and taken as gospel??

Double standards..... yup and the rest!

any who.... original poster, let us know how the car drives now! better mid range? more punch? pulls harder in gear??

This is what i love about cliosport.net.
Your all out to jump on the band wagon of lets hate some one for some thing.
If the customer is happy with what he got then thats all that matters.
Also why do other tuners have to jump in saying we could do this and that for you, or people surgest that some one should have gone else where.

With threads like this if the person is happy then fine leave him or her be.
Your all hypocritical bar stewards anyway.

If the customer has an issue then resolve it with the tuner, i am positive that he/she will sort it.

greg asked if we do a RR tune. I said No we dont do that anymore. Until we get our own rolling road which is not too far off.

if he had asked for one we would have taken it to mass for a power test, if greg wishes to come back he is more than welcome to ring me up for a proffesional conversation and ask if we can accompany him to the rolling road for a test.

you are all like little children.

it is painfully embarassing to have all this on ClioSport, but it doesn't surprise me.
