car change advice

i have got a 2003 1.2 clio dynamique which i have had now for 12 months. I would like to change it for something else but am tied in with renault finance does anybody no how to get round this to change the car?

any advice would help

if you go to p/x against a different marque they will sort out Renault finance for you.

dealer will sort out settlement figure for your clio and add the difference of that and trade in price to the value of the car you want to buy eg

settlement figure 10000 minus

trade in 9000 plus

new car price 12000

price you pay 13000

Start again. not mega hard.

If you are worrying about insurance costs then I would say you cant afford a Scooby as the running costs alone are HOUGE !

There are a few ways round it

1- See what tom182 said.

2 - Go to the dealership and ask them cost to change they will work it all out etc.

3 - After 18 months you can finish the contract and aslong as yourve not exceeded the allowance on the car leave it there and walk away.

4 - Contact Renault finacne and see what they want to finish now be it either you pay the remained and own the car or the amount to get out of the contract. The advanatge of this is that you cna walk into Renault dealership and be a cash buyer for the car ie no partex. nd when you go to pick up the car arange with Renault finance to end the 1.2 contract righ then so ur never carless but you have no partx rip of deals the dealership may offer.

A work of warning though you will most likly have to pay about 500~1500 to walk away but it depedns if you want PM me what you pay per month + deposit etc and Ill have a go at working out what you need to end the contract.

Just done this last weekend!! Got an 03 reg Dynamique - traded it in for a new one. Settlement fig was £6300ish, theyd match it for me (even tho car was on 10k more miles than it should have been)

They said theyd give me the settlement fig for my car / or I could have the 149 deposit deal... Either way worked about the same anyway.

(although my parents said that theyll buy the 03 off me)

Also - got a letter from another ren dealer saying they are desperate to buy nearly new Clios and go in for a valuation...

chatting with my gf last nite and it looks like i might just be getting rid of the car as we are thinking of getting a house so i need to have no finance really to get the best mortgage poss.
