immaculate clio 172
It's not a matter of it needing to be done IMO. When it's got to a stage of being needed, that's already too far.
+1 my friend :approve:

If it's really tight try to un-do it a touch by hand (obviously not a big turn, so that oil comes out) that ought to make it easier for when the oil is hot & you change it.How did you get the filter off? I've tried loads, chain tool etc. and it just squashes it.

yeah just changed the oil and filter and it just feels better
i'm guessing 30k
There's a PDF guide on how to change the oil and everything in the guides section (need to be a member). Going to do mine at some point
I WISH there was a guide on how to do the gear box oil though seeing as I think mine needs doing.
im starting to think perhaps i should have an oil change
its ok peeps it had one one the 36k service
WOO lucky
When you buy the oil buy some engine flush too,you should flush the engine through everytime you change the oil

nothing wrong with frequent oil changes, just means your engine will last longer, and effectively the performance will be retained for longer.
I would say it's pointless changing the oil without changing the filter, to access the oil filter, use a deep 10mm socket to remove the fuel rail guard, get some oil filter grips to remove it, much safer than stabbing a screw driver in the side!
Make sure you replace the copper washer on the sump plug too, and ensure the car is on level ground so you can avoid over filling and damaging the engine.
any boday want to change mine? and the brake fluid?

Just done mine and managed to get the filter out with my hands without taking the fuel rail guard out also it shouldnt be a copper washer on a 2.0 clio
