Car Goes In For Service Tomorrow (Dec 1st)

  Titanium Clio 182
Many people have already seen this which happens to my car:

I've noticed that my car shudders/vibrates badly while passing over larger road imperfections (expansion joints, potholes) and the steering goes all light. This is on my 182, i've driven my brothers 182 on the same roads and his handles them perfectly. This is dangerous as the car vears off when its shuddering and the sheering becomes all light and not that responsive.

These shudders only last for about 1 second but it puts the sh*ts up me!!

Well its going in for a service tomorrow (24,000) so i'm going to have to let them know about this and the knocking which i can here when driving in 3 - 4th gear whilst NOT accelerating or braking. I personally think my car is falling to bits, but i hope its not and i hope i find out all the problems tomorrow.

I've also got a slow puncture on my passengers side rear tyre, when i top the tyres up itds always sitting at about 24 psi which can't be good, but i doubt thats the problem as i've pumped it up before and drive straight after with the same shuddering effects.

Them three thinks (shudders / slow puncture and weird knocking noise) are the only complaints i've had and the only complaints i'll be telling them about.

If i do tell them about this, will they atually listen to me or just carry out the normal service and forget what i've said? I'm sure the shuddering is something to do with the shocks / dampers. I'll mention that also.

Well i'm off now to send it in to Renault in Middlesbrough. I'll let you all know what they have done and how much it cost me.

ALSO can i get my brakes fitted elsewhere if i need them or will it affect the warranty

Renault just rang my mother up and they have told e I need 2 new shocks and it's going to cost me £100. They said it's not covered on the warrenty as 25,000 is apparently ok for shocks to go. So what's happened to my 60,000 miles warrenty.

I might need legal advice on this.

if the brakes are original spec and fitted properly, you can have them fitted anywhere (i'd do it myself though)
