Ive had this problem twice now, though I hope it is fixed once and for all now..

Have you checked the battery? turn the key as if you are starting it. turn it two notches and watch the dash lights. they should all go out, except the handbrake light.. if the battery shaped one stays lit then thats the fault!

My battery was dead.. original hadnet been changed since it was made so AA man put a new one in and it started first time!

Good luck!. ;)

As said check the battery. Is the engine getting fuel? Is the imobilier warning light going off has the car got enough fuel (amazing how often people don't have fuel in them).

All lights go off, battery seems fine.

I have just got it started but has happened couple of times. It is like the engine isnt getting fuel, if i trun key and keep the starter motor going it sometimes eventually kicks in but it is picking up slowly like it has only just got fuel. is hard to explain.

Its the sensor ontop of the gearbox next to the engine do a search for a picture.
