what is the best polish for a car i have always used mer but there has got to be something better any reply would be greatfull

By hand I would say Autoglym Super Resin Polish. Follow that with a few layers of Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection.

so i can use that on a silver colured car and the finish would be good can you apply that on a metalic colour i sure you can

Yep, it's fine.

That's what I have used on mine before with great results.

what is involved in calying your car and what is the best stuff to get

Now it's machine polishing and not by hand. I'm going to be using the Menzerna range when I do it at Easter.

For claying I would say Meguiars Quik Clay, you get the clay bar and the lube for about £12 from Halfords. Just make sure when you use plenty of lube so the clay glides on the surface.
