Car rattles sounds like from rear somewhere. Where should I be looking for it. Ph1

I have a few little rattles but my hearing isn't so good. It's from the rear end but just want a few pointers as to what other people have found to cause rattles.

Well it sound like it's from rear. Taken out spare wheel and toolkit.

Parcel shelf off, no junk in door panels and glove box empty. All seatbelts in reatiners and tried cliped in.

Er. Moved seats and that. It's like a clicky sound. Sligthy metal.

Re: Car rattles sounds like from rear somewhere.

probably suspension related, sounds like springs/dampers are knackered

Alex I've known a few rear wiper motors rattle against the tailgate, only on Clio Sports which is odd. Get the tailgate trim off - 1 T20 screw and pull it down. Then get a mate to sit in the boot, when it starts to rattle get them to hold it firmly, if it goes, thats it. Drive slowly though lol.

What sort of rattle is it? could be exhaust heatshield, or as Middo said could be suspension needs looking at.

I ain't exhaust cause I have checked that. It isn't door exterior trim neither cause already fixed that.

Will try wiper. Can check that at work will just have to avoid speed humps lol.

Thanks for help. Will get back to you tomz on it!

Re:

Check:

headrests, rear seats are locking into position, theres nothing under the seats, seatbealts, anything in boot, tool kit, spare wheel well, take the rear hatch panel off and check the rear wiper mechanism, check the trailing arm suspension bushes, check the shocks, check the rear calipers, check the springs and rubber bushes, check load sensor on the axle and finnally check the exhaust mounts and make sure there is enough clearance between the pipe and the axle/underbody.

Boot is empty. Took wheel out and padded it up + tool kit. Exhaust been checked. Seats locked.

How do I check springs and rubber bushes and whats the load sensor on the axle. Sorry to ask so much but I'm new to the car etc.
