car reg plates

just wondering if any1 has got a logo at the start of their reg plate. i was gonna buy a set of plates with the renault diamond but the chap on ebay said they were illegal. he said he'll sell my the normal gb euro plates for £20 a pair. so basically just wondering if anyone has got a renault diamond or other logo on their plates & do they get pulled?

yes there against the law end of.
you can only have the GB or euro things on the edge

Motorists in England, Scotland and Wales have the option to display the Union Flag, Cross of St George, Cross of St Andrew (also known as the Saltire) or Red Dragon of Wales together with one of the following identifiers: GREAT BRITAIN, Great Britain, GB, UNITED KINGDOM, United Kingdom, UK, CYMRU, Cymru, CYM, Cym, ENGLAND, England, ENG, Eng, SCOTLAND, Scotland, SCO, Sco, WALES or Wales. This must be displayed on the left hand side of the number plate. No other symbols or flags can be displayed on number plates.


The police can issue fixed penalty fines for illegally displayed number plates. Offenders could face a maximum fine of £1,000 and in some cases the number plate may be withdrawn.

my mates got the newcastle utd badge on his car,he reckons its legal. mines blank at the moment....just wanted to have the renault logo. cheers for the info

er they dont look gash got a blue diamond on mine been pulled once ages ago. its a chance you take people are getting pulled with the new smaller plates bur they put them on sorry no pic
