car stalls when putting clutch in

my car will rev on its own then stall even when its not in gear . if im slowing down to stop at a red light ( you put your clutch in when braking) the revs go down and it stalls . it only does it now and again but its getting worse and rather annoying but it only does it when the fault like comes on and fine when it goes off

i had that with my old one, for some reason plugging it into a code reader and clearing it seemed to scare it into not doing it again

just got back from the garage . it cost me £117 for a gasket , 3 diagnosties clear codes and clean air presure control value fom manifold. he said if it comes back it be the lamba sensor going to eath and presure contol value low volume
