Car thinks door is open (172 cup)

hello guyz when i press my keyfob to lock the doors the alarm bleeps then continues to bleep, the interior light stays on as if the door is open, i have checked all the doors and they are firmly closed any ideas peeps?

Bonnet switch.

Open the bonnet and there will be (above one of the headlights in the black plastic slam panel cover) a bonnet switch that detects if the bonnet is open.

Nine times out of ten it is these. Not too sure what can be done though :S When I worked at Renault loads of the new cars used to have dodgy bonnet sensors.

it was the boot sensor on mine... if it is the interior boot light won't go off... i changed the whole mechanism and works fine now (£5 from the scrap yard)
