Car won't start immobilizer issue?

Hi all,

My Clio 182 has started randomly not starting again. It happened a few months back and I had a new key and it's been fine but it started happening again.

Key in ignition it'll turn over but not start and the immobilizer light stays solid. I've noticed I can get it to start if I leave the key in the ignition with the stop light and immobilizer light solid, wait 10 seconds or so and then it'll start.

Or if I do the immobilizer bypass trick it'll work but it's a bit hit and miss.

As anyone any idea as to what the problem could be?

I've had this fault for about 5 months now and still ain't fixed

Have you checked the wiring hasn't rubbed through on the engine ecu metal cage?
