Carbon fibre...tacky?

Right guys,

As there is huge amount if selection out there for carbon fibre bits, which bits are worth having and which bits are just pure tacky.

Am in the market to buy some products just want some feedback on which parts look good and which parts look pure tacky.

So we have.

Interior dash strips kit
Fog light kit
Rear bumper insert
Bullets
Rear Badges
Diamonds.

Just to add this is going to be on a RB 182.

I think CF is ok as long as you don't do everything in CF. Just a few details should be done I think.

CF looks great imo, spesh in place of awkward to look after plastics that tend to look faded and dated on the 1*2's

Any real CF even if its just wrapped in real CF is great IMO.

all c/f looks tacky if its purely for decoration imo.
the whole point of c/f is weight reduction and thats all i would use it for.

this is just my opinion tho.

i like it but aslong as only a few things are done in it and big areas like fog surrounds and rear bumper insert i think look a bit ott.

I think the bullets look cool and maybe the diamonds but that about it!

I like my cf splitter but wouldnt go for any of what you put up except maybe the dash strips.

I was going to have lots of Carbon bits but just going for GRP/Fibreglass on bigger bits I want lighter. May have some carbon fibre wing mirror covers though. Mine are black anyway!

If I had splitter/blanks/diamond/fog inserts/mirror covers/bonnet all done, it would IMO.

Washers/splitter, tis reet IMO.

I think it can be overdone but it's like that with everything...
less is more!

I just replaced all the textured/faded/covered in polish residue plastic parts on my 182 with carbon parts.

Fitting fog surrounds, splitter and rear bumper insert. Looks great imo

I only think CF parts should be used if they are lighter than the parts they are replacing.

So:

Doors
Boot
Bonnet

Etc

CF bullets and badges look a little common, just my oppinion
