Carbon Foglight Surrounds.

*Apologises if this is in the wrong area*

When I bought my 182 a few years ago the previous owner had sprayed the front and bottom grill in gloss Black and the foglight surrounds in gloss Black too.

After a few years now the grill still looks in pretty good nick but the foglight surrounds have started to flake/chip off.

I was thinking of carbon wrapping the surrounds, I know this has been done before but just wanted to know how easy is it to do?

Also, would it be a ballache if I tried wrapping the grill too?

Fog light surrounds would be easy enough. Use a little heat too from a hairdryer or heat gun to help form it round the curves.

Wrapping a grill = ballache i would say.

Have fun with the grill is all im going to say as well mate... Ill happily come round watch, laugh and provide a bit of friendly abuse whilst your at it though

Just spray the grill satin black, but don't lacquer it obviously as that will make it gloss.

Nah, it was just an idea to get the grill done but i spose it will be a right ballache, if i have enough wrap left over i'll give it a go if it fails i'll just spray it if the weather picks up over the weekend i'll give it a bash!!

Mine just unscrew from the front with 2 torx screws but mines a Phase 1

Ahh right, I'll have a look when the weather gets abit brighter... Not getting on my hands an knees in this weather and checking haha.

with a bit of elbow grease mate. They just pull out, iirc from the outside in is the easiest way to do it.

Are the surrounds really that hard to get out? I havent got round to doing with yet!

Good Luck with the grill surrounds not to bad IF you have done some wrapping before easy to f**k them up too thou TBH
