Carbon Wrapped Centre Console [Pics]

Here's my attempt, dead happy with it. It looks much darker than it actually is! It's more grey than black. Also think I'm the first to do this :D haha.

Really surprised it didn't have distorted patterns, in daylight it blends better. :)

It looks good that mate.

Was it hard taking that part of the dash off?
Yeah well after removing the dash the centre console is like bonded in with plastic clips, you cut these off, do your business, then put it back on without superglue and a few screws :) Cost around 17 quid for a 1m*1m roll off ebay, good stuff, have at least half left. :)

Thanks again, yeah just need to wait until I get the soldering iron so I can do the LED conversion, then will do the climate control and screen surround wrapping at the same time. :)

Just so you guys know the centre console isn't terrible to do, but it is hard. The top tray is the worst since it requires a lot of stretching and patience; will gladly advise if you guys need any help! :)

Once you have the dash off you'll see the clips holding the centre console on. You should see 4 circular ones at the top, 2 lines of plastic bonding in the centre of the console and then 2 L brackets hidden under circular plastic bonder at the bottom. Literally use a knife to cut the bonder off on all of the clips. Don't be afraid to use a bit of force to cut the plastic off. Then you will be able to remove the centre console section. Do your wrapping. Then use screws and washers to reattach the circular ones at the top and super-glue on the rest.

looks great mate :D not a fan of the alloys though

They're "R" plates mate ;) We have restricted drivers in Northern Ireland for people who passed their test in the past year. Restricted to 45mph... Grrr. :(

seriously? that must be a b**ch... what happens if you go on a country road? straight up not allowed or do you have to do 45?

Yeah, I have my crappy winter set on just for winter, will put my white ones on soon ;)

Yeah, everyone in Northern Ireland who passed their test has to have those R plates up for the first year, police tend to be stricter and for the first two years you have 6 points (think that is the same in England though. )
