The saga continues with 1.2s..

My warning light for the exhaust emissions came on last night (flashing) which i presume is a cat related problem. The car felt like it was running on 3 cylinders and was really hesistant and shaky when not moving, like a diesel Transit van. Could lack of urgency be related to this exhaust problem or does it sound more serious? I left the car at my gym last night and have phoned Renault Assistance, theyre asking for my membership number, where the f**k would that be in my manual or whatever?

Thanks, just phoned them and youre right. The first time i called the woman on the phone said it was on some sort of card and didnt make it so obvious to me, b**ch!

I had this on my dynamique, im sure it was software related when they sorted it out. They told me they had erased the errors off the ECU and it seemed afterwards.

Ive just got back from good ol Renault Bexleyheath. The bloke from the AA said a similar thing to what you have just said. It was in limp home mode, basically the ECU monitors what the exhaust spits out to measure how much fuel and air is being mixed, if one sensor doesnt fit in with what the others say it will give the amber warning.

I notice you have a 1.2 extreme, just like me, hope it isnt a trend. On the plus side i am now driving a dirty silver mk1 172.

BTW Tom if you ever look check out Renaults Sport pack kit..think youll like it.

Its just called the sport optional pack, i saw it on a 1.5DCI van! It costs £900 but id only get the front splitter which looks wicked, also looks like it comes with the double spoiler (plus skirts and rear valance).

lol. While sitting in reception there was a magazine with it on the vans, cos the clio came out top, look out for it. I guess it should be in the accessories catalogue though. There were loads of modded clios at bexleyheath as well, thrills!

Not had it on my extreme mate fortunatley, it was on my previous dynamique so hopefully its just one of those odd things that happens. The joys of renault ownership!!!
