Cat 1 Alarm!!!!!

How can anyone break into a car with an approved cat 1 alarm, as fitted to my stolen Liquid 182.:S
I've been told by several people it's nearly impossible.

they are optional on most cat1 alarms. Some higher end cat1's come with them as standard.

Tilt/motion sensor is what they're called.

and did this have one? heard many times of cars been lifted with so much ease

i think my next door neighbours 2 x top of the range merc's had tilt thingies, didnt even have keys or anything all done with fingerprint to get in etc....

they both got lifted in one night and were never saw again, shocking

You guys who own 172,182 should be worried if there are people like this about stealing cars without keys, that liquid yellow 182 part for sale on ebay look's dodgy because it's got a hole wright through it.

I don't reckon its your wing, its not worth much, if (im sorry to say) your car was being broken they would be sell the most valuable bits first such as the interior and wheels these components aren't linked to liquid yellow either. They aren't going to risk being rumbled for the sake of £30 on a damaged wing.

True but you've got to also think that it wont arouse so much suspicion with it being just the one wing advertised.

Agreed, but I don't think an RS interior or a set of anthracite 182 rims would arouse to much suspicion there being sold on all the time. I reckon they would try and get rid of the most valuable components first. However the wing could just be a ploy, maybe they expect people to ask if they have any other bits...

yeah but they only have half the interior as took the back seats out and back board and headrests. I also have a 182 exhaust and an airbox, that will need selling on.

just about to say the same has it been anywhere recenctly to be worked on,i'm only in the west midlands,i seen a liquid 182 on thursday in aldridge but i couldnt catch up 2 see the reg

people get alarms fitted r lookin for 2 things,

1 is peace of mind

2 act as a deterrant

where someone is designing a new alarm, the someone designing a new way of bypassing an alarm
