Why not?

You can get CATD cars that have just had a smashed headlight/put through windows or something.

As long as you know whats happened and how its been fixed i would have one!

Part of me says buy it, but the other part just tells me it'd be a dog and id never sell it on.

If I was to buy it, have the engine and seats then sell the rest of it

I would say thats about right. Straight Trophys are going for £6.5k now. It'll always have that cat D hanging over it when you sell/ trade in. Not worth the hassle IMO.

seems ok, and the previous damage doesn't look to be too bad really, as said though for the bit extra a straight one seems tempting really just for ease of resale if nothing else.

  Corsa Van. Meh.
Looks like a good example in the pictures. The only problem with CAT D is selling them on.

Personally, if a car is cheap enough cat d or not i'd have it.

aye totally. I bet the 'repaired' pics will probably be a wee craked headlight or some shite like that. Anything to fleece people.

they part repaired it and in the original advert where they tried passing it off as lightly damaged they left the damaged bumper and bonnet but had replaced the rest of the damage.... then told me that the car had hit a traffic bollard which caused the damage
