cd changer for mk2 phase 1 clio 1.4

the bird im seein at the mo has just got a 1.4 clio! mk2 phase 1! it only has a tape player which is cack, who uses tapes nowdays? ahyway i was wondering if it was possible to add a changer to it at all?

Yep the standard Renault CD changer will plug striaght in.

The Renault head unit will plug stright in as well.

so could I fit a mk1 172 stereo instead of whats in it now and it will all work fine?

Yep should just work straight off.

Dont forget you need the undamaged cable for the CD changer Renault wanted £86 for it.

Its her birthday on Monday I thought about maybe getting a cd changer or even a diff stereo completely for her. I think she wants to use the standard display though so it would have to be a renault one really!

Mighe be worth trying to get a new head unit as well it should plug straight in.

i got a sony changer unit and cable from halfords for 200. fitted. iv kept the standard head unit for security reasons. also the cable they used allowed me to maintain my steering wheel controls!
