Sounds like your dealer is not fully informed on such things. I'm certainly no expert on these things and there will be more knowledgeable people along from this good forum to advise but there are aftermarket head units available that display what you are listening to and leads that allow your steering wheel contols to work with the H/U.
All dependent on what you have fitted in the first place but try an audio specialist for advice rather than your dealer.

let me no how u get on liam, i'm having problems with mine keeps coming up 'error' after about an hour, take cd out and its red hot.

I dont mean to thread-jack but anyone else have this? i'm guessin so as there no ventilation, but if u find a new unit fits with the controls ^^ let me no!

depending on the H.U you can get a lead from autoleads that allows the use of the stalk controls...think of the top of my head theyre about £39.99

as for the display on the center consol, IIRC i dont think there is a way to get the display up....so just the clock will apear..

You can get an adapter that does both the controls and the display, my g/f has one with her Kenwood h/u. Can't remember where we got it now though, it was off the internet. Was about £40 I think.
