Cd's wont play on my Laptop

Just whacked a CD in my Laptop to burn a copy yet once inserted the CD won't play, have tried various CD's and still no joy.

I am rather baffled as its never been a problem in the past, i then remembered that a new Hard Drive was fitted a few months back after the previous one became corrupt.

I am now guessing that i need to download a new driver to allow me to play Audio?

I'm no I.T. expert so be gentle....

Does it have to be a driver downloaded from Dell as the laptop is a Dell?

What do you mean by what is my CD drive?
