Central locking button inside not working

Hi,
I own a Renault Clio 1.4 16v 02'.
Since I bought the car, the central locking button inside the car doesn't do anything, it doesn't even make a noise as if the doors are locking, it's the same story with the key. In short the only way I can lock the car is by manually putting the key in to lock both doors and pressing the button on the key to switch the alarm on as it doesn't lock the doors. Is there anyway I can fix this issue?

So what you're really saying then is that the Central locking on your vehicle doesn't work. Start at the beginning and check all fuses on the passenger side dash panel.
