Central locking has died!

The central locking has decided to stop working on the 172... I've tried a new battery in the key, disconnected the car battery etc.

All the usual tricks but no joy?!

It just does not work at all :S


Any ideas guys?

when you press the key does the red led light up inside the key ???

Sounds like you've killed the connection in the key, check for anything soldered that has come loose, got a spare key to check???

the red light flashes on the key... No spare key to try

will tale the key apart and take a look!

check the fuse mate, i shorted mine when i was changing the colour of the dash, stuck a screwdriver in without unplugging . s**t maself as the car wouldnt start and the doors wouldnt lock, turned out to be the fuse.

you could try holding the central locking button down to lock it hold it down until the central locking clicks and locks/unlock then hold the press the plip button that will resync your key to ur car may help ???
